Qualifications

• Up to roughly two years of software engineering experience, including internships and research.
• Hands-on work in training ML models, building data pipelines, or developing internal tooling.
• Internship or research at a high-hiring-bar organization or academic lab.
• Bachelor's or master's in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics from a strong program.
• Strong practical coding ability in Python, C, or C++.
• Comfortable as a generalist first and specializing later.
• On-site work in San Francisco, five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain geometry and data pipelines: parse CAD, convert formats, extract features, verify outputs.
• Write evaluation harnesses and tooling to measure model improvements.
• Support training/experiments by instrumenting runs, debugging, and turning results into readable summaries.
• Build internal tools to reduce friction for the team.
• Own well-scoped pieces of larger research and engineering efforts, and grow scope over time.
