Sonoco in City of Industry, CA is hiring a General Worker. The role involves unloading and storing recovered materials, operating forklifts and clamp trucks, and performing yard housekeeping. You will work rotating shifts (7 days on, 3 days off pattern) with overtime potential.

Applicants should be able to push/pull heavy loads, maintain safety, and obtain a fork truck license. This is a manufacturing role with opportunities for growth within a global packaging leader.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to push, pull and lift equipment as needed.
• Excellent safety and attendance history.
• Ability to work a rotating shift cycle (28 day cycle) including weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to obtain a fork truck license.

Aufgaben

• Unload and store incoming recovered scrap material and fiber.
• Maintain equipment and keep beater room and yard clean.
• Operate fork truck with clamp attachment to unload baled fiber.
• Move and store loose recovered fiber using a tractor.
• Load fiber onto conveyors and manage storage by type/grade.
• Operate clamp and forklift trucks in mill areas.
• Follow Sonoco safety practices and report hazards.
