Job Overview

This role involves working in multiple departments within a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. The associate operates material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Collect items for customer orders using packing list information, including building and wrapping pallets.
• Examine stock items for wear and defects, and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean working environment following safety policies.
• Perform inventory control functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in multiple departments in a distribution center.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to understand written material.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with exposure to factors like temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements.

Education & Experience

• HS Diploma or GED preferred; 2-5 years of relevant experience.
