Job Summary

Performs duties across multiple departments in a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. Operates material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

1. Uses material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
2. Assists with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
3. Verifies quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
4. Uses packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products.
5. Inspects stock items for wear and defects; reports issues to management.
6. Returns misplaced products to proper storage areas.
7. Maintains a clean working environment following safety policies.
8. Performs inventory control functions as needed.

Nature and Scope

1. Refers complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
2. Works under general supervision, exercising judgment within well-defined policies and procedures. Regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

1. Typically in a comfortable setting but may be exposed to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
2. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for periods exceeding 60 minutes. Repetitive movements such as using a calculator, bending, or squatting are required.
3. No travel required.

Education and Experience

1. HS Diploma or GED preferred. Specialized training or certification may be required. Typically 2-5 years of relevant experience.
