Job Summary

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, customer service, and/or order processing.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts, and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise. Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Records receiving data using computer.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification tags, stamps, or electronic marking tools.
• Identifies incorrect or short-shipped items and immediately notifies supervisor.
• Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas. May operate forklift or other machinery.
• Verifies computations against physical stock counts. Inspects stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains work area cleanliness and organization. Follows safety policies and encourages others to do the same.
• Performs order layout adjustments and makes changes to carriers or picking methods. Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

• Refers complex problems to supervisor.
• Works under general supervision, exercising some judgment within well-defined policies and procedures.

Work Environment

• Typically located in a comfortable environment but with exposure to factors like temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements.
• Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education And Experience

• HS Diploma or GED preferred. 2-5 years of relevant experience. Specialized training or certification may be required.
