Warehouse Receiving and Store Support
Role and Responsibilities
- Pulling items for shipping out of orders
- Double checking items for accuracy of pulled items for shipment
- Pulling and transporting items to store locations for stock
- Receiving and inventorying of returns and shipments
- Packing of boxes and use of Pacejet system for order processing
- Loading and unloading of trucks & containers
- Keeping a clean and safe work area during & after shift
- Punctuality in getting to work on time and dependability to work scheduled shifts is a must
- Build grills and outdoor furniture
- Delivering of grills and outdoor furniture
- Loading and unloading of customers to their personal vehicle/trailer
- Must be able to work until 6pm and rotating Saturdays
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED is the only educational prerequisite
- Most training for new workers is completed in-house and is provided by senior shipping and receiving clerks.
- The position is in a fast-paced environment and requires familiarity with computers and basic math skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with customers and management, while performing a variety of tasks which may include, but not limited to phone, e-mail, and face-to-face interaction
- Operate forklifts when required
- Operate standing forklift when required
- Operate pallet jacks as needed
- Maintain housekeeping in designated sections of warehouse
- Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred Skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or instructed
- Variable power tools (drills, table saw, circular saw, etc.) experience a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure. He or she must be able to understand and adhere to oral and written instructions. Safety and attendance are number one priority
