Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a General Warehouse Person to support processing and shipping orders to the stores that serve our customers. You will handle receiving, picking, packing, auditing and shipping duties in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities include tracking items with RF scanning, verifying orders in the inventory management system, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The role requires physical effort and flexibility with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The General Warehouse Person is responsible for performing tasks involved in processing and shipping orders to the stores that service our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include but not limited to: receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing and shipping merchandise to the stores that service our customers. This may require at times to work in areas higher than ground level.
• Tracks all inbound and outbound items through radio frequency (RF) scanning to ensure accountability in inventory.
• Verifies orders and ensures entry into the inventory management system.
• Operates a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the distribution center are well maintained, kept orderly and free of debris.
• Maintains quality standards set forth by distribution center management.

Basic Qualifications

• Willing to work a flexible shift including overtime as needed.
• Willing and able to stand at least 8-10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, bending, grasping, daily pre-shift stretching, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school/GED diploma preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• At least 6 months experience operating motorized material handling equipment.
• At least 6 months experience with radio frequency (RF) scanning
• At least 6 months experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory management system.
