Job summary

Malley’s Chocolates is seeking a General Warehouse Employee to support a fast-paced warehouse facility in Brookpark/Cleveland, OH. You will handle receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipment preparation for our confectionery products, ensuring accurate records and timely deliveries.

The role requires safe operation of warehousing equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Attention to detail in inventory, receiving and picking.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products, and accurately record their arrival.
• Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of goods received against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Safely unload delivery trucks and transport goods to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
• Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access to products.
• Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to customer specifications and shipping deadlines.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (requires certification), pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.
• Effective use of RF guns to move inventory in and out of proper location bins to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the warehouse facility, including sweeping and scrubbing floors, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality control, and sanitation standards at all times.

QualificationsRequirements/ Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory-related tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., GMPs, HACCP, ODA, OSHA – Training will be provided).
• Must have a basic understanding of English verbal and written comprehension skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
