Job summary

100 Stormont-Vail HealthCare, Inc. in the United States seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to produce ultrasound recordings for physicians' diagnoses.

The role requires completion of a registered sonography program, ARDMS registry, and BLS within 90 days. You will operate ultrasound equipment, position patients, enter data into PACS, and participate in quality improvement. Travel to satellite locations up to 20% is expected. This is a full-time, first-shift, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program completion or on-the-job ultrasound training that led to registry.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Preferred experience in Ultrasound, in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Licenses/Certifications: ARDMS or equivalent; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate equipment/transducer for ultrasound exams.
• Position patient and adjust controls to image target organs.
• Observe real-time images and monitor ultrasonic patterns.
• Enter data into PACS (Lumedx) accurately and timely.
• Explain procedures to patients and assist with positioning.
• Maintain high-level disinfection and equipment prep.
