Ontario Trillium Foundation in Belvidere, IL is seeking a detail‑oriented dishwasher/kitchen helper to maintain clean work areas, assist with food prep and support daily kitchen operations.

You will rinse and scrub dishes, load and operate the dish machine, remove trash, and keep floors and surfaces sanitary. Flexible schedule and benefits are included.

Pre-rinse and scrape food from dirty dishes and load the dishwasher.
Wash pots, pans and trays by hand or machine.
Complete all assigned prep work.
Remove trash to dumpster area.
Clean work tables, walls, refrigerators, cooking equipment and floors.
Clean garbage cans and trash receptacles.
Assemble, maintain and break down the dish machine.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities

Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. Assists in food preparation procedures.

Specific Functions and Duties

Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine (50%*).
Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine (15%*).
Completes all assigned prep work (10%*).
Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%*).
Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors (5%*).
Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%*).
Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine (5%*).
