Job description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst and Queens, is seeking a full-time Urologist. We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.

Responsibilities

  1. Direct patient care.
  2. Teaching and supervision of Mount Sinai Urology residents and students in an academic community hospital setting.
  3. General urology practice, with subspecialty needs in robotics, reconstruction, female/pelvic medicine, voiding dysfunction, and endourology.

The division has multiple physician assistants, robots, urology residents, and medical students rotating through the service at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  1. MD degree.
  2. Urology Residency or Clinical Fellowship training.
  3. Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
  4. Open to international candidates who completed a clinical fellowship in the US and need H1B Visas or to work in an underserved area to become American Board of Urology eligible.

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications. A highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including CME, is also provided. Compensation ranges from $362,418 to $470k, including on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year. Scheduling is flexible, and call responsibilities will be no more than 1 in 4, also flexible. Visa sponsorship is supported.
