Job Description

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Rogers Group is seeking a GENERAL UNDERGROUND EQUIPMENT OPERATOR at our Reostone Quarry in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience operating mining equipment in underground environments and a strong focus on safety. Responsibilities include operating equipment, working with blasting processes, and maintaining safety and ventilation in the mine.

  • Wages starting at $23.00/hr
Responsibilities
  • Operate face drills and roof bolters in underground mines.
  • Operate wheel loaders in confined spaces to muck and load trucks.
  • Operate scalers or excavators with scaler attachments.
  • Assist with explosives and blasting.
  • Perform general quarry duties and safety inspections.
  • Follow safety policies and regulations, including OSHA/MSHA standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong safety focus.
  • At least one year of experience operating underground mining equipment.
  • Willingness to work underground and with explosives, with valid permits or ability to obtain them.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in various weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
