Job summary

Norton Heart & Vascular Institute in Louisville, KY, seeks two adult general (noncardiac) thoracic surgeons to join a growing team. The practice serves Norton Healthcare’s adult hospitals with a high-volume thoracic program and access to robotics and minimally invasive techniques.

The ideal candidates are within one year of training or have 1–2 years of experience and should excel in minimally invasive procedures and complex tumor management.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical skills in minimally invasive surgery.
• Surgical management of complex lung, esophageal and chest wall malignancies.

Responsibilities

• Join an adult-service practice consisting of multiple surgeons and support staff.
• Participate in a center of excellence-designated multidisciplinary lung clinic.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and contribute to a busy thoracic surgery service.
• Ability to coordinate care within Norton Heart & Vascular Institute and Norton Cancer Institute.
