Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an experienced RN for the General Surgery unit. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient care on a 32-bed unit, including patients undergoing bariatric, urology, oncology gynecology, and vascular procedures.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based practice. The ideal candidate holds RN licensure for Georgia, an ADN or diploma, and at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience – demonstrates competence or meets requirements on hire.
• BSN preferred educational requirement or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care on the General Surgery unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient transitions and rounds.
• Apply nursing process to meet clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership and delegation within the care team while maintaining accountability.
