Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for a General Surgery unit offering 12-hour morning/evening shifts. The role requires an RN license in Georgia and an ADN or diploma with at least 1 year of experience.

BSN is preferred and the unit supports growth, leadership and high‑quality patient care. Applicants should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with emphasis on patient safety, effective communication, and adherence to evidence-based practices

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
• At least 1 year of RN experience - Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire

Responsibilities

• Transformational Leadership and collaboration with care team.
• Demonstrates competence in RN I performance expectations in addition to requirements.
• Lead interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriate care and transitions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues at all levels.
• Apply nursing processes within the organization’s model of care and evidence-based practice.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and lifelong learning.
• Support shared governance and unit-based activities.
• Assure patient safety and high-quality standards across shifts.
