MedStar Health is seeking an experienced general surgeon to lead our Integrated Surgery Department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center.

The ideal candidate should have exceptional surgical technique, enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and at least three years of clinical experience after completing an accredited residency or fellowship program.

About the Hospital

Located just 16 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 250-bed, full-service acute care hospital with an additional 24-bed sub-acute care facility. It handles approximately 50,000 emergency room visits and 14,000 admissions annually. Our hospital is distinguished by its advanced technology and was the first in Southern Maryland to be certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the Maryland state health department, remaining the only certified Primary Stroke Center in Prince George's County.
