Job summary

CoxHealth Ferrell Duncan Clinic in Springfield, MO seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse to develop and implement nursing care plans for ill, injured, and disabled patients in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include administering care, taking vital signs, and providing telephone health guidance under provider supervision; scheduling and records management, and processing authorizations and referrals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program.
• Minimum 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and collaboratively in teams; strong time management and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care to patients in outpatient settings.
• Provide telephone health guidance to patients under provider direction.
• Schedule appointments and manage medical records and prior authorizations.
• Take and record vital signs and medical histories; prepare for examinations; collect lab samples and perform tests.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
