Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a General Surgery Physician to join a 5-provider group (3 surgeons, 2 APPs) in an ambulatory hospital-campus setting with an intensivist-staffed ICU and 3 DaVinci XI robots.

The role encompasses inpatient and outpatient wound care, clinics averaging 15–20 patients per day, 1:4 call coverage, locum support for work‑life balance, and dedicated OR assists.

• Provide inpatient and outpatient wound care services.
• Ambulatory practice on hospital campus and coordination of perioperative care.
• Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Position Details:

• 5 provider group: 3 surgeons/2 experienced APPs
• Ambulatory practice on hospital campus
• Intensivist-staffed ICU
• Inpatient and Outpatient Wound Care
• Average patient per clinic day: 15-20
• 3 DaVinci XI Robots
• Call: 1:4
• Locum support to ensure a work-life balance.
• APP covers inpatient rounding
• Dedicated OR assists

Office Practice:

• 8a-5p Mon-Thur. 8a-2p Fri.
• Staffed with an on-site manager, nurses, office clerks, and a scheduler.
• Patients are booked in 15-, 30-, or 60-minute increments.
• Common procedures: excision of skin lesions, I&D of abscesses or seromas, anoscopy & hemorrhoid banding
