Job summary

OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, OH, seeks a full-time surgeon to split duties 0.5 FTE general surgery and 0.5 FTE trauma/critical care.

Join a well-established group at a level III-N trauma center with 24/7 APP support, endoscopy, foregut cases, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in general surgery; fellowship in trauma/critical care preferred.
• Experience in handling bread-and-butter general surgery, endoscopy, trauma and foregut cases is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 0.5 FTE general surgery duties and 0.5 FTE trauma/critical care responsibilities.
• Perform bread-and-butter general surgery, endoscopy, trauma and foregut procedures.
• Participate in 1:4 call rotation on weekends with additional night calls as needed.
• Support from 24/7 inpatient APPs and Trauma Resource Nurse.

• Seeking a full-time surgeon to hold a 0.5 FTE general surgery + 0.5 FTE trauma/critical care surgery role at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital

• Join 8 other surgeons in a well-established group at a level III-N trauma center

• Call rotation: 1:4 weekends and 2-3 night calls per month, 15 minute call response time requirement

• Bread and butter general surgery, endoscopy, trauma, and foregut cases

• 24/7 inpatient APP support

• Dedicated Trauma Resource Nurse

• Approximately 1,200 trauma admissions per year
