Job summary

NMC Health in Newton, KS invites a board‑eligible/board‑certified General Surgeon to join our team. This full‑time role includes a three 12‑hour shift schedule per week, rotating weekends, and a diverse caseload spanning colonoscopies, breast, thyroid, and broader surgical cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized school of medicine and completion of a general surgery residency program.
• Licensed in the State of Kansas by the Board of Healing Arts.
• Some colonoscopies and EGDs, with a wider caseload and diversity, including breast and thyroid cases.
• Completion of a recognized emergency medicine residency, preferred.
• Board Certification preferred or Board Eligible and willing to obtain certification within two years.

Responsibilities

• Three (3) Twelve-hour shifts per calendar week, including alternating weekends.
• Patient care; quality initiatives.
• Two to three-year contract.

We are currently seeking a full-time General Surgeon to serve the community. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• Graduate of a recognized school of medicine and completion of a general surgery residency program
• Licensed in the State of Kansas by the Board of Healing Arts
• Some colonoscopies and EGDs, but looking for someone who can go beyond that, with a wider range of comfort and wanting a more diverse caseload, some bellies, bigger bowel cases, women from cancer center, breast case familiarity, thyroidectomies
• Completion of a recognized emergency medicine residency, preferred
• Board Certification preferred or Board Eligible and willing to obtain certification within two years
