Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a General Surgeon to join as an on-site 1099 independent contractor at our San Carlos location. The role involves a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly, working with medical and therapy teams to manage complex cases and support return-to-work goals.

The surgeon will communicate with employers, provide both non-surgical and surgical services related to musculoskeletal work injuries, and participate in case management as part of a multidisciplinary care model.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site General Surgery services as part of a 1099 independent contractor role.
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers in a case-management framework.
• Communicate with employers and participate in activity-based scheduling and revenue-share compensation.
