In Western Kentucky, explore the fascinating underground wonders of Mammoth Cave National Park, the world's longest cave system, offering thrilling cave tours and breathtaking underground landscapes.
The schedule includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with call and rounding expected during the 24-hour coverage periods. The hospital has 193 beds, uses Epic for EMR, and is a Level IV trauma center. Most patients are adults, though children may occasionally come through the ER. The support team includes an ACS APRN and standard nursing staff. Candidates must have a KY or compact license and be board certified with BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and a DEA license. Expected procedures include general surgeries such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, hysterectomies, gallbladder removals, biopsies, C-sections, and basic thoracic cases. Call volume is estimated at 10 or more, with total volume up to 2028 cases.
