Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance in Boston's metro north region is seeking a full-time General Surgeon to join the Department of Surgery. You will perform a broad mix of general, laparoscopic, robotic, cancer and endoscopic procedures at CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals.

You will teach surgical residents and HMS students, with an HMS faculty appointment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and a large referral network. A 24/7 in-house housestaff presence supports operations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Massachusetts Medical License and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Advanced MIS and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad mix of general, advanced laparoscopic, robotic, cancer, and endoscopic procedures at CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals.
• Teach and train surgical residents and HMS students with an HMS faculty appointment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and an extensive referral network (140,000-patient ACO).
• Supported by Surgical Residents and PAs, with 24/7 in-house housestaff coverage in OR.
• Engage in NSQIP, NAPBC, ACS CoC and bariatric/medical weight management programs.
• Share call coverage at approximately 1:6; no trauma call.
