Job summary

Sentara Healthcare seeks a General Surgeon to join its team in Northern Virginia. The role encompasses elective and emergent surgical care with trauma coverage at a Level III center.

All call duties are based at one hospital, with potential to train or expand services at the SRC Accredited Robotic Center of Excellence. Board Certified or Board Eligible with intent to sit for boards, and Virginia license or eligibility, are required.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active Virginia license or ability to obtain licensure in Virginia.
• Willingness to provide elective, emergent, and trauma surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide elective and emergent general surgery care.
• Deliver trauma coverage at our Level III Trauma Center.
• Participate in on-site surgical call coverage.
