Job summary

Sentara Healthcare in Northern Virginia seeks a General Surgeon to join our established team at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. You will provide elective and emergent surgical care with trauma coverage at our Level III Trauma Center, with all call centered at one hospital.

There is opportunity to train or help expand the SRC Robotic Center of Excellence; the group is aligned with hospital administration and shares input on surgical care.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery or Board Eligible with intent to sit for Board Examinations
• Active Virginia license or ability to obtain licensure in Virginia

Responsibilities

• Provide elective and emergent surgical care with trauma coverage at a Level III Trauma Center
• Deliver surgical services and participate in trauma call at a single hospital
• Collaborate with hospital administration and explore robotic surgical opportunities at the SRC Center of Excellence
