Job summary

Madera Hospital seeks a General Surgeon who is Board Certified or Board Eligible to join our expanding surgical team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to serve a busy community while strengthening access to surgical care across Madera County.

Salary range is $450,000–$600,000 per year. California medical license (or eligibility) is required, with a strong emphasis on mission-driven, patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• California medical license (or eligibility).
• Strong commitment to mission-driven, community-focused care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality general surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in our Acute Care Surgery program serving Madera County and surrounding rural communities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and hospital initiatives.
• Take part in shared call coverage as needed.
