Skilled Wound Care in Ventura, CA is seeking a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends for either full-time or part-time physicians seeking autonomy outside the traditional hospital setting.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO, an unrestricted California medical license, and a DEA license (or eligibility).

General Surgeon Salary & Compensation

• Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000–$500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

General Surgeon Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
