Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Fort Worth, TX is seeking General Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This position offers a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule with clinical autonomy and ongoing wound care training.

You will perform debridement, bedside procedures, and oversee patient care across post-acute settings while maintaining surgical skills in a supportive, physician-led group.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the practicing state or eligibility.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• All backgrounds welcomed; training in wound care provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute teams to follow healing progress.

General Surgeon Responsibilities

General Surgeon Salary & Compensation

• Full‑Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000 - $500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per‑patient and per‑procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

General Surgeon Schedule

• Part‑Time: 2–3 days per week
• Full‑Time: 4–5 days per week

General Surgeon Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
