Job summary

BHI is seeking a full-time General Superintendent in Salt Lake City, UT to lead underground infrastructure field operations. You will manage trenching, drilling, plowing, conduit installation, and fiber optic work while upholding safety and project schedules.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of hands-on experience and a track record of leading large field crews. Travel to regional projects is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on underground construction experience.
• Knowledge of directional drilling, trenching, plowing, conduit installation, and fiber optic pulling/splicing.
• Ability to manage large field crews and coordinate with project engineers.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in the region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end execution of underground infrastructure projects.
• Direct trenching, directional drilling, and plowing operations for conduit routes.
• Ensure work aligns with blueprints and safety regulations.
• Coordinate fiber pulling and splicing with crews; maintain network continuity.
• Manage crew schedules and interface with engineers to meet deadlines.
• Enforce safety standards to keep high-risk excavation zones incident-free.
• Bridge engineering designs and field execution to deliver on time and budget.
