Job description

Responsibilities

The General Superintendent will lead all field operations for a large-scale, ground-up residential project in Jersey City with a commitment to quality and safe construction processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily onsite field operations, managing construction activities, third-party vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by overseeing approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal Project Managers, Design Managers, and Developers.
  • Drive the construction document coordination phase and review document packages for procurement, developing detailed scopes of work.
  • Help formulate, maintain, and execute the project schedule.
  • Manage the permit process with expeditors, DOB, MTA, and related governmental requirements.
  • Lead jobsite foreman’s meetings.

Compensation

  • $175,000 - $200,000+ / year
  • Annual performance based bonus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experienced with Super’s license, OSHA 30, and Procore.

  • Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal.
  • A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
