The purpose of the General Electrical Superintendent position is to oversee and direct all field construction activities for assigned craft areas, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This role requires authoritative knowledge of the work, a holistic understanding of complex situations, and the ability to assess the overall project picture and alternative approaches. The superintendent directs line supervision to meet or exceed project objectives, coordinates all construction crafts within the assigned area, and serves as the senior craft authority at the site. Responsibilities typically include managing multiple crafts, large areas, numerous craftsmen, multiple shifts, and coordinating with other contractors/subcontractors.
This role contributes to a large-scale pharmaceutical project located in the Indianapolis area.
