Job summary

HanwhaQcellsUSA Corp (QcellsUSA) is seeking a Foundations General Superintendent to lead construction efforts on utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The role oversees multiple craft teams, coordinates with project management, and ensures CPM schedules and value-engineering milestones are achieved.

The ideal candidate has extensive frontline leadership, deep knowledge of construction codes, and proven experience on high-value projects, including solar PV or wind power sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in supervision.
• Proven track record as a Superintendent on large projects with values above $20 million.
• Thorough knowledge of Construction Code.
• General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes, and plumbing codes as they relate to construction of project.
• Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience managing the performance of major projects, preferably in building of power stations or utility-scale construction projects.
• Minimum of 2 years of solar PV or wind power project experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.
• Manage and lead the superintendents and their craft throughout the duration of the project.
• Assist in developing detailed CPM schedules for all installation activities and develop a schedule of values to aid the billing process.
• Coordinate activities, schedule, material procurement, project logistics, and temporary facility plans with the project manager and field staff.
• Review and approve materials/equipment for Mechanical/Structural systems and monitor the installation and startup of those systems, resolving any conflicts prior to starting work.
• Prepare reports and communicate progress to Project Managers/Directors as needed, and to project Owners during weekly meetings.

Summary

TheFoundationsSuperintendentwill manage the various project team members as it relates tothiercraft. Establish standards, training, leadership training for thecontract executionteam and department.This position reports to theSeniorDirector of Construction, or anothermanagementpersonnel that theCEOof the Company maydesignate.This position is hybrid, working out of your home and the project sites, with standard working hours from Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. This position may require occasional overtime and weekend work as needed. Expect to travel up to 50%, or as needed for the project.
