Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead jobsite operations on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while managing schedules, budgets, and resources across startup to closeout phases.

The role requires strong leadership and communication for coordination with clients, GCs, and project partners. OSHA 30 is preferred; a growth-focused team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising commercial construction projects (HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP preferred).
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite operations.
• Strong scheduling, sequencing, and cost control knowledge.
• OSHA 30 preferred (or demonstrated commitment to safety).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead jobsite operations, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive projects to successful completion.

What You'll Do Project Leadership

• Oversee daily jobsite operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines
• Support manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Lead projects from startup through closeout, including sequencing and coordination
• Represent VMG in meetings with clients, general contractors, and project partners

Safety First

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections
• Enforce OSHA and VMG safety policies
• Identify, report, and address hazards, incidents, and near misses

Quality & Accountability

• Ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and company vehicles

Planning & Documentation

• Complete daily reports, time sheets, and job logs accurately
• Track costs, invoices, and subcontractor work
• Maintain organized project documentation and schedules

Team Leadership

• Lead and coordinate field crews and subcontractors
• Set clear expectations and provide coaching and performance feedback
• Foster a respectful, team-oriented culture built on accountability

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects (HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP strongly preferred)
• Proven ability to manage crews and jobsite operations
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and cost control
• OSHA 30 preferred (or a demonstrated commitment to safety)
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
