They’re experiencing significant growth, particularly in the high-rise residential and healthcare sectors, and are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join their leadership team.

Job Summary:

The General Superintendent will provide overall on-site leadership and management for multiple large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring extensive experience in managing complex projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in high-rise residential (20-30 stories) and/or healthcare construction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide overall on-site leadership and direction for multiple concurrent projects, typically ranging in value from $80 million to $100 million.
2. Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones.
4. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
5. Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
6. Maintain open and effective communication with project owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
7. Proactively identify and resolve potential project issues and conflicts.
8. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
9. Mentor and develop field staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
10. Participate in pre-construction planning and strategy meetings.
11. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable building codes and regulations.
12. Manage project closeout procedures, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
2. Extensive hands-on experience in high-rise residential (20-30 stories) and/or healthcare construction is essential.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with budgets ranging from $80 million to $100 million.
4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. OSHA certifications are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

1. Base salary range: $200,000 – $210,000 per year.
