Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to forecast and dispatch manpower and equipment to ensure staffing and tooling readiness across multiple job sites. You will lead field operations and mentor Foremen and Project Superintendents to maintain safe, efficient project delivery.

The role emphasizes disciplined planning, strong communication with senior management, and active participation in craft training and safety programs to support successful project execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or seven years related experience.
• Experience in construction oversight including millwright, rigging, piping, welding.
• Ability to supervise Foremen and Project Superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly staffing forecasts to senior management team.
• Ensure professional developmental opportunities for all Foremen are identified and addressed.
• Responsible for ensuring professional developmental opportunities for all Project Superintendents are identified and addressed.
• Ensure all job sites are effectively and efficiently staffed.
• Provide guidance with field operations such as critical lifts, permits, as needed.
• Provide additional NCCCO Rigging Training when required.
• Assist HR department with the selection process of field employees when needed.
• Work with Project Superintendents to evaluate and identify developmental opportunities for all field employees.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or seven years related experience and/or training in all aspects of construction oversight including, millwright, pipefitting, welding, civil, rigging, piping, plumbing and HVAC ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
