Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking an experienced ultrasound technologist for a travel assignment in the Boston area. Workdays are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with rotating day shifts and no mandatory call.

You will perform abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams, and may float to additional units and locations as needed. Required are 12 months of experience with 3 months in the last year, and experience with Epic.

Qualifications

• Experience in transplants, Dopplers, and renal artery stenosis is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams.
• Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures such as amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses and biopsies.
• Records images on PACS and provides images on film/paper when needed.
• Provides preliminary interpretations in the daily logbook and may convey preliminary interpretations to requesting physicians after discussion with the radiologist.
• May assist other divisions during procedures.
• Serves as a team resource for technical information, training, and guidance.
• Performs high-level disinfection of transducers using systems like Trophon EPR.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Performs high-level disinfection of intracavitary ultrasound transducers using systems such as the Trophon EPR system for patient protection and infection control.

Shift & Scheduling

• Rotating day shifts.
• No call is required for this assignment.
• On-call duties providing 24-hour coverage are shared with fellow sonographers only after the sonographer reaches the minimum required expertise as judged by the Ultrasound Manager and physician in charge of Ultrasound.

Floating Requirements

• Performs functions outside the Ultrasound Suite, including in the operating room, intensive care units, Emergency Department, and nursing floors, using portable ultrasound equipment.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
