Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Hanover, PA is seeking a General Shop Laborer to join the production team. You will support assembly operations, operate hand and power tools, and help with material handling. The role offers weekly pay, potential for temp-to-hire, and on-site training.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, follow directions, and a proactive attitude. Some shifts include 2nd shift with a 15% differential; GED/college program options may be pursued through employer.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen, understand and follow directions.
• Basic arithmetic skills as needed.
• Willingness to work in a variety of roles and adapt to changing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Follow directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
• Assist with the assembly of metal fabricated parts on assembly lines.
• Maintain a clean manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and organize tools as assigned.
• Perform miscellaneous jobs at the plant, including potential forklift operation when required.
