Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC seeks a highly organized General Services Consultant to support Travel, Security, and General Services. You will contribute to efficient delivery of corporate services and enhance employee experience through responsive workplace support.

Responsibilities include service program management, benchmarking, KPI tracking, vendor research, inventory control, and event logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate or internal services.
• Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish; French/Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve employee experience through service analysis and feedback management.
• Manage key service programs and support benchmarking (MetroCommute, dry cleaning, EV charger maintenance).
• Monitor customer satisfaction surveys and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain records with HR for backup care, audits, and vendor research including RFP documentation.
• Track inventory and research potential procurements.
• Analyze service participation and KPIs to evaluate vendor performance and support planning.

About this position

As a General ServicesConsultant, you will support a variety of tasks that contribute to the efficient delivery ofcorporate serviceswhile helping enhance the overall employee experience through responsive, high-quality workplace support.

You will work inthe Travel, Security, and General ServicesGroup, part of theBudget and Administrative Services Department within the Vice Presidency for Finance andAdministration .The General Services Teammanages food services, printing and mailroom solutions, custodial services, commuting initiatives,and childcare services. In addition togeneral services, TSG provides other services such as corporate securityand travelservices.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the employee experience through service analysis, feedback management, and the implementation of employee-focused initiatives.
• Assistin the management of key service programsand support with benchmarking,includingMetroCommute, dry cleaning, EV charger maintenance, and conduct regular inspections to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality corporate services.
• Monitor and review customer satisfaction surveys related to food services and otherservices, providing insights and recommendations for service improvements.
• Maintain updated recordsin collaborationwith Human Resourcesfortheback-up careprogram,auditprogramusagereports, and support vendor research and validation processes,including RFP documentation.
• Maintainaccuratetracking and reporting ofinventoryitems such as IDB flags, kitchen supplies, andequipment.Researchvendors forpotentialprocurements.
• Monitor and analyze service participation, enrollment, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluatevendorperformance,identifyimprovement opportunities, and support strategic planning.
• Provide logistical support for events, information tables, and conferences organized by theteam.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) inInternational Relations,Business Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Experience:At least2years of experience incorporate services.

Languages:Proficiencyin Spanish and English, spoken and written, isrequired.Additionalknowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
