Gemba Automotive is seeking a General Service Technician to support routine maintenance, inspections, and parts replacement, ensuring safety and reliability. You will document service details and collaborate with senior technicians for hands‑on training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and shop standards to ensure services are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections using the Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) process to identify potential issues or maintenance needs.
• Document findings accurately and communicate recommendations to service advisors for customer review.
• Replace vehicle components, including brakes, tires, batteries, and other basic parts, with precision and care.
• Record all services performed clearly and accurately in repair orders, including time spent and parts used.
• Document recommendations for future repairs or maintenance based on inspection results.
• Care for tools and shop equipment by performing regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure they remain in good working order.
• Keep workspaces and the shop clean, organized, and safe for all team members.
• Work alongside journeyman technicians and the shop foreman to assist with more complex repairs and gain hands‑on experience.
• Actively participate in mentorship opportunities and on‑the‑job training to build technical knowledge and skills.
• Commit to professional development by pursuing certifications such as ASE and staying up to date with industry trends and standards.
