General Service Technician - Woodrow Bean

Martin Tire operates multiple locations across El Paso, TX, and New Mexico, offering comprehensive automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE-certified technicians handle services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.

The General Service Technician is responsible for driving customers, picking up parts, maintaining shop cleanliness, and conducting non-technical automotive services such as oil changes and tire services.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $11-$14/hour depending on experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport customers and parts safely using company vehicle
• Operate vehicle in compliance with traffic laws
• Conduct safety and emission inspections ethically
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, and rotation
• Perform oil changes and basic services under supervision
• Observe vehicle condition and report repairs or safety issues
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
• Ability to work at least five days per week, including weekends

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, lubricants, and hazardous materials. Environment varies with outdoor temperatures.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and good vision and hearing. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
