Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filters; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate, and balance tires; properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace filters and lights.
• Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from transport trucks and warehouse deliveries.
• Inspect disposed tires, store or dispose of tires properly.
• Clean facilities, tools, equipment, and stock shelves.
• Greet and thank customers courteously; provide fast and friendly customer service.
• Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products; perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain store appearance according to standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Complete required training timely.
• Follow work schedules and clocking procedures accurately.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Must be 17 years or older (with parental consent).
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Operate computers and office machinery.
• Safely operate automatic and manual vehicles.
• Communicate accurately with customers.
• Work with hazardous materials safely.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willing to comply with PPE regulations.
• Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and move supplies.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Meet pre-employment screening requirements.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Note: Ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months (for Missouri stores).

Preferred Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
