Job summary

Purcell Tire Company is seeking a full-time General Service Technician in Reno, NV. You will assist in daily shop operations, perform maintenance, tire service, and vehicle inspections to ensure quality work done safely and on time.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Opportunity for advancement, paid training, and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment background & drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 3-year clean MVR with no DUIs is required.
• 1 year related work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer vehicles in and out of the shop.
• Pick-up & delivery of parts, tires, and customers.
• Perform vehicle inspections & basic maintenance repairs.
• Perform Lube/Oil services; inspect, fill or change oil, replace filters, grease fittings.
• Perform tire maintenance; mount, balance, rotate, repair & replace tires/wheels.
• Replace air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters.
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
