Job summary

Purcell Tire And Service Centers seeks a full-time Outside Service Tech in Idaho Falls to service passenger and commercial tires. You will perform tire-wheel replacements, dismount wheels, balance, rotate, and install tires, while keeping the service vehicle stocked and maintaining basic vehicle upkeep.

You must pass background and drug screens, have a valid driver's license, and a clean MVR. The role offers training, incentives, benefits, and advancement opportunities.

• Willingness to run night service calls

• Commercial tire experience required
• Valid driver’s license
• 3-yr Clean MVR with no DUIs

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training & professional growth
• Perform passenger and commercial tire-wheel replacements and installations
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace tires
• Services calls as scheduled by service manager
• Participate in night service rotation
• Keeping service vehicle fully stocked
• Perform basic maintenance on your service vehicle
• Perform basic facility, shop clean up, and organization
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

*Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs.

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
