Job summary

Heartland Tire Inc. is seeking a General Service Technician to perform oil changes, check tire pressure, and evaluate customer needs in the Service department. The role reports to the Service Manager and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.

Responsibilities include recommending tires and services to customers, assisting with cross-training, and supporting other duties as assigned by management. A valid driver's license is required, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree are preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Service Technician performs basic preventative functions such as oil changes and evaluating tire pressure. This position also makes recommendations to the Service Manager any needed parts, tires or service that customers may need.

Essential Job Functions:

• Changes oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Evaluates tire pressure and ensures proper inflation.
• Recommends tires, parts and services to Service Manager for customers.
