Job Description

The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly position responsible for performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service through effective communication and quality work, ensuring guest expectations are met.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
2. Conduct tire services including removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying additional service needs.
5. Assist in inventory management and store upkeep to maintain a guest-ready environment.
6. Follow safety standards and proper equipment operation protocols.
7. Test drive vehicles following company policies, observing safety laws.
8. Adhere to company policies, environmental standards, and OSHA regulations.
9. Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training.
10. Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic automotive training or experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Additional Information
