Neal Tire & Auto Service in Indiana is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services and diagnostics while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work full-time, Monday through Friday with weekend availability as needed, contributing to our commitment to quality and safety.

The role requires a basic understanding of car maintenance, strong communication skills, and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• Basic understanding of car maintenance.
• Ability to clearly communicate inspection results and needed repairs to customers.
• Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment for car maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and inspections on customer vehicles.
• Perform basic automotive services: tire mounting/balancing, tire repairs, oil changes, filters, replacements, etc.
• Perform tire maintenance and tire changes on customer vehicles.
• Provide superior customer service with clear communication about vehicle conditions.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Weekly Day Range: Monday to Friday w/ Weekend Availability as Needed

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics and inspections on customer vehicles.
• Complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filters, replacements, and more.
• Perform tire maintenance and tire changes on customer vehicles.
• Provide superior customer service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about customer vehicles.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License w/ Safe Driving Record
• Successful Completion of Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening

Skill Requirements

• Basic understanding of car maintenance
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer the results of inspections and needed repairs
• Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment for car maintenance and repair
• Careful attention to detail

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and stretching
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
