Job summary

Jenkins Kia of Gainesville in Florida is seeking an experienced sales leader to plan, direct, and coordinate the sale of vehicles, set quotas, and establish training programs for the sales team. Job description

Job Summary

Plan, direct, and coordinate the sale of vehicles to customers. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales quotas and goals. Establish training programs for sales personnel. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements. Monitor preferences of customers.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales.
  • Oversee sales managers and salespeople.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
  • Confer or consult with department heads to plan or coordinate advertising.
  • Confer with potential customers regarding vehicle needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.
  • Oversee sales process to insure all viable deals are given thorough consideration.
  • Oversee correct disbursement of manufacturer’s rebates including but not limited to special programs.
  • Direct, coordinate, and review activities in sales operations.
  • Meet with sales managers to plan and implement objectives for achieving volume sales and gross profits.
  • Assist in hiring & monitoring the performance of sales managers. Conduct sales training.
  • Oversee standards for displaying and merchandising both new and used vehicles as well as reviewing and initialing all promotions before they are finalized.
  • Coordinating the appropriate supply of new and used vehicles and ordering/acquiring vehicle inventory accordingly.
  • Meeting monthly with the general manager to review forecasts and profits for the sales department.
  • Working directly with the general manager on making recommendations on both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.
  • Attending to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.
  • Auditing all appraisals of trade-in vehicles.
  • Issuing all demonstration vehicles and ensuring that appropriate dealership records are maintained.
  • Acquire and analyze sales data in order to set correct inventory levels.
