Job Purpose:

Our General Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth and increasing market share through the company's Total Packaging Solutions strategy. This role leads and supports the Sales Team by fostering strong customer relationships, implementing training programs, and collaborating with senior leadership. A key priority is maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring the well-being of all team members and visitors.

Job Responsibilities:

● Work directly with Sales Representatives to grow business in existing and new accounts, and conducts annual customer visits.
● Direct and coordinate product and service promotions to expand market presence and strengthen competitive positioning.
● Mentor and develop the Sales Team to improve performance and support overall sales strategy and growth.
●Set sales goals and quotas; provide guidance on sales techniques and shares accountability for Division sales results.
● Conduct quarterly account reviews and partner with leadership to drive sales growth and profitability through improved gross margins.
● Analyze sales statistics to support strategic planning and individual sales performance improvement.
● Manage budgeting by reviewing requests, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and allocating operational funds effectively.
● Lead change management, model company values, handle staffing decisions, and fosters a positive, team-oriented sales culture.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Experience in Industrial Packaging and/or Distribution business preferred.

● Proven business managerial experience of at least two years.

● Prior Sales experience with a proven track record.

● Career growth as an ambition.

Work Experience:

Ability to work quickly and efficiently● 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.● Must possess a thorough understanding of the distribution business.● Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree

Physical Requirements:
● A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
● The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
● The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
