Cerro Gordo County is seeking a General Maintenance Road Worker for the Secondary Road Department. This full-time role involves daily maintenance on the county's secondary road system, operating equipment, and performing minor repairs as needed.

Location: Cerro Gordo County - (Assigned location could be to any one of the following Maintenance Shops: Mason City, Clear Lake, Ventura, Rockwell, Dougherty or Thornton)
Shift: Normally 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (Subject to change with 2 weeks’ notice). Possible Summer hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday. Overtime as needed.
FLSA: Non-exempt/position
Salary Range: Starting pay of $26.13/hr to $30.74/hr, depending on experience and qualifications

The employee is required to drive two hours without a break for a total period of up to twelve hours. The employee must also be able to stand for two hours without a break.

Must have a valid Iowa Driver's License and have reliable transportation. Must be insurable for driving under county insurance company policies.
