This position offers a flexible compensation structure with a base salary between $300,000-$325,000, plus sign-on and relocation bonuses. We are seeking a full-time General Psychiatrist to join the Adult Inpatient Services at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW), a leading freestanding behavioral health hospital in downtown DC. This role offers flexible compensation with a highly competitive productivity bonus structure, enabling you to focus on delivering excellent clinical care within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Quick Facts

• Employment Type Full-time (employed) with independent contractor option considered
• Schedule / Hours Inpatient clinical hours with no mandatory weekend on-call.
• Call Weekend call approximately one weekend per month
• Patient Volume Adult inpatient population with diverse psychiatric needs
• Location Washington, DC (easily accessible via Metrorail and public transportation)
• Practice Setting Freestanding psychiatric hospital with partial and intensive outpatient programs
• Support / Care Team Multidisciplinary clinical staff, physicians, and administration
• EMR / Technology Electronic Medical Records utilized for documentation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other psychiatrists, APPs, nursing staff, and support personnel
• Provide comprehensive documentation of clinical care in the EMR system
